HORSE SHOWS

The production of horse shows has been a major activity of the Morgan Horse Club of Washington State, Inc. for over 50 years. Since 1968, MHCWS has been leading the charge in bringing high quality Morgan Horse shows to the Pacific Northwest. Both our shows are held at the Evergreen Equestrian Park, in Monroe, Washington, and each show dedicates a portion of their proceeds to NW non-profit charities.  We are proud to have given back over $300,000 to our community.

Key Classic Benefit Horse Show

Key Classic is a 5-day show, and is always held in May, over Mother’s Day weekend, at the Evergreen Equestrian Park in Monroe, Washington. Established in 1976, the popularity of Key has grown since its inception and attracts horses from throughout the Pacific Northwest and Canada.

Key features classes for Morgans, Saddlebreds, and many additional classes open to all breeds.  Key Classic is the first Morgan horse show of the year in the Pacific Northwest and it’s arrival kicks off the summer show season.  Key has developed large dressage and ranch/trail class programs in recent years and the show seems to grow every year!  It is a well-attended show, with local vendors, sometimes iffy weather, and a ton of fun!

C-Fair Charity Horse Show

This 5-day Regional horse show, held in early August, is one of Washington’s the best multi-breed horse shows, featuring Morgans, American Saddlebreds and Friesians.  The show offers a variety of multi-breed classes appealing to all ages. The goal of this show is to highlight several breeds in the Northwest in a competitive environment that is enjoyable, challenging, fun for the exhibitors and exciting and entertaining for spectators.

Both Shows benefit Equest, through sponsorships and a silent auction. Equest Special Riders Inc. is a non-profit organization of trained volunteers who provide therapeutic-recreational horseback riding and instruction.
